Our Story
Doodle Dat began in 2019, founded by Nav, a UK-born mum of two living in Singapore at the time. What started with one simple idea — creating reusable colouring mats to keep children happily and creatively entertained at home and on the go — soon grew into a much-loved range used by families across Singapore.
After more than a decade in Singapore, we’re now back home in the UK, where Doodle Dat has started its next chapter.
Award-Winning Reusable Colouring Mats
Since launching, our Doodle Dat mats have received recognition both in the UK and internationally. We were awarded Silver for Best Travel Toy at the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2022, selected as a Small Business Sunday winner by Theo Paphitis in 2022, and named Best Travel Toy at the Junior Design Awards 2023.
At the heart of Doodle Dat is a simple belief: children’s play can be creative, educational, reusable and fun.
Our reusable colouring mats are designed to encourage imagination, learning and screen-free play, whether children are at home, travelling, eating out or visiting friends and family. Simply colour, wipe clean and Doodle Dat all over again.
Made from 100% food-grade, non-toxic silicone, our mats are designed to be reused again and again, providing a practical alternative to disposable colouring activities and helping families make more sustainable everyday choices.
Creativity With a Conscience
Sustainability has been part of our journey from the beginning. Alongside creating reusable products, we aim to minimise unnecessary packaging and use reusable or repurposed materials wherever possible.
Giving back matters to us too. Since April 2026, our parent company, Erda Ally Ltd, has been a member of 1% for the Planet, committing 1% of annual sales to environmental causes.
Over the years, we have also supported organisations including the WHEEN BEE Foundation and Singapore Children’s Society, and in 2023 partnered with Ecologi to plant a tree for every online purchase.
From Singapore to the UK
Singapore will always be an important part of the Doodle Dat story — it’s where the brand was born, where our first families discovered us and where Doodle Dat grew.
Now based in the UK, we’re excited to introduce Doodle Dat to even more families, while continuing to create thoughtful products that make screen-free creativity and reusable play a little easier.
Colour. Wipe. Reuse. Doodle Dat again.
